[Luna] question

Historically I think that whenever there was a change there would be a big
push right after it by Micrsoft to move to it. They are already very active
in preparing for the fall and spring media blitzes. I have to go check my
notes, but I do believe that by the end of the month you will be able to buy
enterprise versions of Vista on hardware. Even more interesting is that I
strongly suspect MS is already running Vista and the 2007 series of products
in production in several large businesses.

Anyhow, when I worked for VA Linux we had all kinds of marketing stuff
against windows 2000. I still have a bunch of t-shirts that say there's
nothing wrong with Windows 2000 that Linux can't fix.

If we were to do anything I'd think that we would want to get ahead of the
curve and then have events or messages going out periodically as follow
on's. If the message is something along the lines of, you don't need to buy
new hardware if you look at Linux and open office in order to do work. I
haven't looked at the memory requirements of Vista but I recall you need at
least 1 GB of RAM to make it work. Linux can be pretty dang good in much
less.

Anyhow, if we want to start working on that, the time to begin planning will
be soon.
