Hi Folks,

I was wondering how people would feel about me bringing my boxen to the
party.  Cinelerra is running thanks to Deborah letting me come up to USGS
and install/troubleshoot with a network connection available.  I was able to
download and install all of the missing dependencies. THANKS DEBORAH!!

Here is the problem I'm having: when I hook up my DV camera through the
firewire port, Cinelerra will control it like it is supposed to, fast
forwarding, rewinding, etc. but the image does not show up on my monitor.
Does anyone out there have experience with configuring digital video capture
under Linux? I suspect that I just need to find the right codec to use in
the configuration options for either Cinelerra or the firewire card.

Also, Shane, do I need to bring monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc?
